Goryeong-gun, 'Hope 2025 Sharing Campaign' Fundraising Event
Goryeong-gun (Governor Lee Nam-cheol) held a fundraising event for the ‘Hope 2025 Sharing Campaign’ on the 4th at the outdoor plaza of the county office.
The event was hosted by the Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Korea (Chairman Jeon Woo-heon) and organized by the Goryeong-gun Community Security Council (Chairman Kim Jong-tae) and the Fruit of Love Sharing Volunteer Group (Director Jeong Su-hwan, Honorary Director Lee Kyung-hwa), with about 200 participants including local residents, sponsors, volunteers, and representatives from institutions and organizations.

View original imageThe county presented the Governor’s Commendation Plaque to Maeil Agricultural Cooperative Corporation (Seo Tae-su) for leading the local community sharing culture, and County Governor’s Appreciation Plaques to MS Food (Jeon Hae-myeong), Yooyoung Packaging (Kim Young-hee), SK Goryeong Gas Station (Yang Ki-seop), and Daeseong Motors (Kim Ji-han) for their exemplary efforts in promoting sharing practices.
The Community Chest Commendation Plaques were awarded to Samsung Printing House (Lee Jun-ho) and the Fruit of Love Sharing Volunteer Group (Kwon Seong-hee and Kim Soon-i) for their dedication to various sharing activities for neighbors in need. Appreciation plaques from the Community Chest were also given to seven businesses that have been long-term members of the Good Store program for over 10 years: Gokcheon Landscaping Co., Ltd., Goryeong Bookstore, Nokwon-ga, Bokdong Charcoal Grilled Ribs, Evergreen Bakery, LG Goryeong Branch, and SK Goryeong Agency.
Additionally, donations of 10 million KRW from the Nonghyup Goryeong Livestock Products Market, 2 million KRW from the Goryeong Long-term Care Institution Association, 2 million KRW from Daegaya FC, and about 1.7 million KRW collected by around 70 children attending various daycare centers under the Goryeong County Daycare Association were presented, showing continuous support from companies and social organizations across various sectors. Furthermore, Baek Jeong-hyun, the lead attorney of the law firm Dongban, donated 5 million KRW to the Education Development Fund for nurturing local talent in Goryeong-gun.
The Fruit of Love Sharing Volunteer Group provided tea service, the Goryeong-gun Community Security Council offered popcorn, and a food truck (serving 200 drinks) provided by the Gyeongbuk Community Chest created a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Lee Nam-cheol, Governor of Goryeong-gun, expressed his deep gratitude for sharing hope and warmth with neighbors in need and hoped that many people would participate in the Hope 2025 Sharing Campaign to make Goryeong-gun a happy and warm community where neighbors live together in harmony.
The fundraising for the ‘Hope 2025 Sharing Campaign’ has been ongoing since December 1st and will continue until the end of January next year, with Goryeong-gun’s fundraising goal set at 509.82 million KRW.
