Prosecutor General Shim Woo-jung urged members of the prosecution on the 4th regarding the declaration and lifting of martial law, saying, "Please pay special attention to ensuring that the prosecution's core duties such as investigation, prosecution, and enforcement proceed without disruption during this critical time."
According to the legal community, Prosecutor General Shim sent an official letter titled 'Establishment of Public Service Discipline and Strengthening of Duty Management' containing this message to each department of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office and field offices on the same day. Shim stated, "I ask each agency head to establish public service discipline and strengthen duty management."
