"Restoring Asan Region's Natural Environment"… Hyundai Motor Signs Public-Private Cooperation MOU
Hyundai Motor Company is participating in an ESG project for natural environment restoration conducted through public-private cooperation.
On the 3rd, Hyundai Motor announced that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for "Natural Environment Restoration and Biodiversity Enhancement" with the Korea Environmental Preservation Association and Asan City, and decided to take the lead in restoring damaged ecosystems by utilizing human and material resources.
The project site was selected as 773-2, Gundeok-ri, Seonjang-myeon, Asan-si, Chungnam, near Hyundai Motor's Asan Plant.

View original imageHyundai Motor and the Korea Environmental Preservation Association plan to improve the ecological environment by creating facilities such as ▲aquatic organism garden ▲migratory bird observatory ▲ecological learning space in an area of 9,000㎡, approximately 1.3 times the size of a soccer field. Asan City will be responsible for maintenance and management after the natural environment restoration.
Hyundai Motor plans to continue participating in natural environment restoration projects by carrying out ecosystem restoration and biodiversity enhancement activities in areas near its business sites in the future.
