Police Suspect Brake Issues in Cargo Truck
A 14-vehicle pileup occurred on a three-lane road in Gwangdo-myeon, Tongyeong-si, Gyeongnam, resulting in 14 people sustaining minor injuries.
According to Yonhap News, at around 7:45 a.m. on the 3rd, 14 people, including a man in his 50s identified as A, the driver of a 15-ton truck, were injured in the accident.
The accident reportedly happened when A was driving a truck loaded with paving blocks down a hill from the second lane and collided one after another with passenger cars waiting at a signal in the first, second, and third lanes.

The police are estimating that the accident occurred because the truck's brakes did not work properly while descending the sloped road, and they are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident.
