Yangju-si, Recruiting 'Safe Restaurants' to Improve Dining Culture
Yangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kang Su-hyun) announced on the 3rd that it is recruiting safe restaurant establishments that practice a safe and hygienic dining culture.
Safe restaurants are designated for establishments that comply with the essential tasks of ▲ practicing serving food individually (providing ladles for scooping, individual plates, etc.) ▲ hygienic management of utensils (individual packaging, pre-placement of personal utensils, etc.).
Safe restaurants designated after on-site inspections will have a designation sign attached, and when searched on portal sites such as Naver and Kakao Map, the phrase "Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Designated Safe Restaurant" will be displayed for promotion.
The city plans to actively promote this to local restaurants for additional designation and operation, and will conduct on-site inspections of the operation status of previously designated safe restaurants, issuing warnings or canceling designations for establishments that fail to comply with the rules, thereby operating reliable safe restaurants.
Detailed information regarding safe restaurant designation can be found on the Yangju City Hall website, and applications for safe restaurant designation are accepted year-round. Business owners wishing to be designated as safe restaurants should apply to the Hygiene Division of the Yangju City Health Center.
