Guro-gu Focuses on Promoting Resident-Only Parking Lot Sharing Project
Promotion of Parking Lot Sharing Usage Using Applications, Internet of Things (IoT), and Automated Response System (ARS)
Providing Easy Payment Function Simplified with QR Code and Near Field Communication (NFC) Payment Tags
Guro-gu will intensively promote the parking sharing project within resident-priority parking lots in the area until December 20 to enhance residents' parking convenience and alleviate parking difficulties.
The district is promoting a resident-priority parking lot sharing project where residents assigned designated sections of the parking lot can freely set the time periods when they do not use the parking space to share it. Those wishing to park can check the real-time availability through applications, an automatic response system (ARS), and use the parking accordingly.
This promotion was prepared to expand residents' participation and improve convenience by publicizing the parking sharing usage methods utilizing applications, Internet of Things (IoT), and ARS, following the selection of the project by the Seoul Metropolitan Government.
First, to simplify the payment process and provide intuitive guidance, floor guide plates and banners with payment QR codes will be installed, along with Near Field Communication (NFC) payment tags for easy payment functions, and parking lot guide speakers will be set up to activate the shared parking service.
Additionally, to actively inform about the parking lot usage, postal mail containing usage guidance will be sent to 3,800 households near the Gaebong Overpass resident-priority parking lot, parking cones will be placed at eight nearby stores, and banners and operational section guide plates will be installed as part of multifaceted promotional activities.
Furthermore, to promote the activation of parking lot sharing, the district plans to conduct surveys targeting parking lot users to analyze usage status and satisfaction, and based on the data, continuously develop improvement measures.
