Includes independent offices, expert mentoring, open innovation, and global expansion support
Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Ilpyeong Lee) announced that it is recruiting four new youth startup companies to move into the ‘DDM Youth Startup Center Unicorn’ for next year until December 10.
The ‘DDM Youth Startup Center Unicorn,’ which opened in May 2023 as a youth startup incubation facility, has established itself as a representative youth startup platform in Dongdaemun-gu through various achievements such as ▲a 250% increase in resident companies' sales compared to the previous year (4.8 billion KRW) ▲producing companies that passed TIPS (Technology Innovation Program for SMEs), Youth Startup Academy, and Agri-food Venture Support projects ▲hosting the DDM Union Youth Startup Idea Challenge in collaboration with three local universities.
The center is equipped with independent offices, meeting rooms, a community lounge, and a studio, and operates expert mentoring, open innovation, and global expansion programs to strengthen the capabilities of resident companies.
The recruitment target is young prospective entrepreneurs aged 19 to 39 or early-stage startups within three years of establishment, and the application deadline is 4 p.m. on Tuesday, December 10. Four companies will be selected through document screening and presentation evaluation.
The selected companies can move in from January to December 2025.
For more details regarding residency, inquiries can be made to the center’s operating office or checked through the Dongdaemun-gu website.
