High-Performance Compact Coupe BMW M2 Revamped... Officially Launched in Korea
Including VAT 91.7 million KRW
The facelifted model of BMW's high-performance compact coupe, the M2, has landed in South Korea.
On the 2nd, BMW Korea announced the official domestic launch of the second-generation facelifted model, the 'BMW New M2.'
The M TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder gasoline engine delivers a maximum output of 480 horsepower, an increase of 20 horsepower from before. Maximum torque has increased by 5.1 kgf·m to 61.2 kgf·m. The engine speed at which maximum torque is delivered has been lowered to 2600 rpm, allowing for more immediate acceleration. The time to accelerate from a standstill to 100 km/h has been reduced by 0.1 seconds to 4 seconds.
The M-specific cooling system, which manages the engine stably even under harsh conditions such as track driving, and the oil supply system applied with BMW M's motorsport expertise are standard. The 8-speed M Steptronic sport transmission paired with the engine includes the 'Drivelogic' function, allowing shift points to be adjusted in three stages. The M Sport variable exhaust system provides different sounds depending on the driving mode. Adaptive M suspension, M Sport differential, and M compound brake system are also standard features.
Inside, it is equipped with the BMW Curved Display consisting of a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch control display, along with BMW Operating System (OS) 8.5. This OS features the 'QuickSelect' function, enabling control of desired functions directly without navigating through submenus.

Active Cruise Control with 'Stop & Go' functionality and lane departure warning are included in the standard 'Driving Assistant.' The 'Parking Assistant,' which includes automatic parking and reverse assist functions, is also provided as a standard feature. The new car's launch price is 91.7 million KRW, including VAT.
