BTS Jimin Donates 30 Million KRW for Customized Home Renovations for Vulnerable Elderly in Busan Area
Donation Ceremony for the Busan-style Habitat Challenge at City Hall on the 29th at 11 AM
BTS Jimin, the 3rd Relay Donor and the First Individual Participant
On the 29th at 11 a.m., Busan City held the 'Busan-style Habitat Challenge Donation Ceremony' in the protocol room on the 7th floor of City Hall.
The 'Busan-style Habitat Challenge' is a project aimed at improving the housing environment of vulnerable elderly people in the local community.
At the donation ceremony, Mayor Park Hyung-jun and the father of BTS member Jimin, a private donor, attended on his behalf.
At this ceremony, Jimin of BTS, currently serving in the military, donated 30 million KRW through his father to improve safe housing spaces for vulnerable elderly people in the Busan area.
With this, Jimin became the third donor in this relay and the first individual participant.
Previously, KB Kookmin Bank and Dongil expressed their intention to join as the leading participants in this relay, supporting 90 million KRW and 200 million KRW respectively.
The donated funds will be used through the Busan City Comprehensive Support Center for Elderly Living Alone to improve housing spaces so that elderly people in urgent need of housing support can live more safely and comfortably in their homes.
The city expects that through continuous donation relays, citizens' interest in elderly-friendly housing environments will increase, and it will serve as an opportunity to check once again whether our parents' homes are safe and structurally free of inconveniences in daily life.

Mayor Park Hyung-jun said, "Many elderly people hope to grow old comfortably and healthily in the places they have lived for a long time," adding, "I believe the positive influence of this donation will have tremendous power. We ask for much interest and participation so that the donation relay, which can give hope to the elderly, can continue."
