"More Elegant and Refined"... Genesis Unveils GV70 Facelift Electric Vehicle Design

Genesis unveiled the interior and exterior design of the facelifted electric version of its mid-size sport utility vehicle (SUV), the GV70, on the 2nd.

Based on the brand’s design philosophy of 'Athletic Elegance,' Genesis inherited the sophisticated design of the existing GV70 electrified model while adding refined details to achieve a highly complete design. The GV70 electrified model was launched domestically in March 2022 as the third electric vehicle of the Genesis brand.

The front features a new-shaped Crest grille with a 'G-Matrix' pattern applied in a gradient form, along with a wide-feeling bumper design and a refined intake grille pattern, expressing the sophisticated sensibility unique to electrified SUVs. Additionally, the signature dual-line headlamps of Genesis incorporate 'MLA (Micro Lens Array)' technology, achieving a perfect harmony of advanced technology and elegant design.

The rear raises the turn signal position from the bumper to the rear combination lamp to enhance visibility and applies a dual-line design to secure design unity between the front and rear. The auxiliary brake light (HMSL·High-Mounted Stop Lamp) located on the rear spoiler has a linearized shape, and a module integrating two cameras with digital center mirror (DCM) and built-in cam functions is applied below the auxiliary brake light, completing a clean image.

Inside the GV70 electrified model, Genesis emphasized a high-tech feel by installing a 27-inch integrated wide display that combines the cluster and infotainment system, as well as a touch-type climate control panel. In addition, the new steering wheel featuring the new Genesis emblem enhances luxury with refined stitch details.

Genesis plans to launch the facelifted GV70 electrified model in the first quarter of next year, revealing detailed prices and specifications and commencing full-scale sales.
