Joint Public-Private On-Site Inspection Conducted...Focus on Gas, Electricity, Fire Safety, and Auxiliary Facilities
Rapid Follow-Up Actions to Eliminate Hazards, "Full Effort for Seniors' Safe Winter"
Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) will conduct special inspections of 42 senior centers to prevent safety accidents during the winter season.
The purpose of this inspection is to prevent various accidents caused by cold waves, heavy snowfall, and fires during winter. By the 5th, all district-run senior centers in the area will be visited to thoroughly check key areas.
The inspection will focus on four main areas: gas, electricity, fire safety, and auxiliary facilities. In cooperation with specialized organizations such as the Korea Electrical Safety Corporation, Yesco, and fire facility management companies, deficiencies will be identified based on an internal inspection checklist.
Specifically, checks will be made for gas leaks, wire damage, water leakage, freezing, and building cracks. The operation status of safety facilities such as gas shut-off valves, alarms, and circuit breakers will also be thoroughly examined.
At the same time, combustible materials and other fire hazards will be identified to prevent accidents. Minor issues found during the inspection will be addressed immediately, and if serious defects are discovered, repair and renovation work will be initiated.
