Shinan-gun Wins Local Autonomy Content Award
'1 Island 1 Garden' Policy... Recognized for Excellence
On the 27th, Shinan-gun, Jeollanam-do received the Grand Prize in the Culture and Tourism category at the 2024 Local Autonomy Content Awards ceremony held at the National Assembly Members' Office Building. The event was jointly hosted by Local Autonomy TV, the Korean Local Autonomy Association, and the Korean Humanities Content Association, and supported by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and the National Assembly's Administration and Security Committee.
According to the county on the 28th, the 2024 Local Autonomy Content Awards ceremony is held annually to discover and spread excellent cases that have contributed to the development of local autonomy.

View original imageThis year’s awardees were selected through a call for outstanding cases in 14 fields including AI & digital, environment & safety, and culture & tourism, targeting local governments and local councils nationwide from the 15th to the 31st of last month. The evaluation results were announced on the 11th.
Shinan-gun submitted a case related to the Garden Tree Social Cooperative linked to the One Island One Garden policy, and was recognized for excellence as a sustainable garden policy, receiving a commendation from the Chairperson of the Administration and Security Committee.
