Recruiting Young Farmers with Rural Startup Ideas
Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province, is recruiting candidates for the '2025 Customized Support Project for Young Startup Farmers' until January 8, 2025, to support creative rural startup ideas of young farmers and foster them into competitive agricultural management entities.
Eligibility for application includes young farmers or agricultural cooperative corporations aged 18 to under 50 residing in Gyeongsangnam-do as of the application date. The support fields are divided into facility and open-field agriculture, experiential processing, and other startup support sectors, with a support ratio of 50% subsidy and 50% self-payment per sector.
Farmers or agricultural cooperative corporations wishing to participate can apply through the town or township office. The final project candidates will be confirmed after deliberation by the Gyeongsangnam-do selection committee.

Choi Nam-mi, Director of the Agriculture and Livestock Division, stated, “We will actively support the influx and settlement of young farmers to strengthen agricultural competitiveness and address the aging problem of agriculture and rural areas,” adding, “We hope many young and talented farmers will take a keen interest and participate in the project.”
