Partial 'Warning Strike' on Seoul Subway Line 9 Tomorrow Withdrawn
The labor union's "warning strike" scheduled for a section of Seoul Subway Line 9 on the 28th has been withdrawn.
Seoul Metro announced on the 27th, "There has been progress in negotiations between the Public Transport and Social Service Workers' Union Line 9 branch and management, so the warning strike has been withdrawn for now, and negotiations will continue."
The section of Subway Line 9 covering phases 2 and 3 (Eonju Station to Jungang Veterans Hospital Station) is managed by the Line 9 Operations Division, an independent subsidiary within Seoul Metro.
Although the Line 9 Operations Division has not yet reached an agreement with the union, it stated that it will continue to engage in negotiations sincerely and persistently until the general strike scheduled by the union on the 6th of next month.
