[Image Diary] Passing Memories
The 1994 USA World Cup took place during my school days. The first group stage match against the powerhouse Spain was on a Saturday morning when classes were in full swing. At school, classes were even paused to broadcast the World Cup live, and every citizen watching the game prayed with folded hands for a victory. However, the match was not easy. In the 45th minute of the second half, with the score looking bleak at 1-2, Korea's speedy player Seo Jeong-won scored a dramatic equalizer and performed an uppercut celebration. The cheers that echoed throughout the entire classroom at that moment are still vivid. On my way home from work, I met 'Rider Seo Jeong-won,' who recalled the memories of that day 30 years ago.
