Once selected as a participant, a food package consisting of rice, carrots, potatoes, formula milk, and other items is provided monthly for at least six months, along with tailored nutrition education.
The food packages are strictly managed for quality and safety through biannual on-site inspections of food delivery companies and monthly quality tests. Customized nutrition education is offered in various formats, including online video lessons (available in multiple languages) and cooking practice, enhancing convenience for participants.
Eligible applicants are pregnant women, postpartum women, and infants under 66 months residing in Pocheon City whose household income is at or below 80% of the median income. Selected participants can receive food packages and nutrition education benefits for a minimum of six months up to a maximum of one year. Applications can be submitted at the Community Health Team on the first floor of the Pocheon City Health Center.
A Pocheon City official stated, "We hope that through this Nutrition Plus Project, pregnant women and infants will live in a healthier environment. We ask for the citizens' active interest in this program."
