President Kim Young-rak of LG Electronics Promoted to President of Korea Sales Headquarters
On the 21st, LG Electronics held a board meeting and promoted Kim Young-rak, Vice President and Head of LG Electronics Korea Sales Division, to President.
Born in 1966, President Kim graduated from Chung-Ang University with a degree in Business Administration and earned an MBA from the University of Washington. He joined LG Electronics in 1991 and served as the Korea Sales Management Planning Team leader and Head of the Korea Strategic Planning Group. He consecutively served as the head of subsidiaries in Vietnam in 2014 and India in 2019, overseeing sales, marketing, and strategy in the global market.
Since the end of 2022, he has been leading the Korea Sales Division, actively expanding differentiated sales activities such as the home appliance subscription business model amid a challenging market environment with declining demand and intensified competition. He was recognized for solidifying competitive advantages in the market by achieving growth and profit improvement. President Kim was promoted to Vice President last November and has now been promoted to President within a year.
