Daegu Urban Development Corporation Receives 'Sharing Award' from Community Chest of Korea... "Committed to Spreading Sharing Culture"
Daegu Urban Development Corporation (President Jeong Myeong-seop) announced on the 19th that it received the ‘Nanum Award’ at the 11th Community Chest of Korea Awards.
The Community Chest of Korea Awards, hosted by the Community Chest of Korea, recognize individuals and organizations that have contributed to the spread of a sharing culture and the development of the Community Chest. Awards are given in the categories of Donation (contributions to promoting donation culture, etc.), Citizen Participation (contributions to fundraising and support projects of the Community Chest, etc.), and Volunteer Service (contributions as members of sharing volunteer groups, etc.), with honors including the Contribution Award, Happiness Award, Nanum Award, and Hope Award.
This award recognizes the continuous social contribution activities and efforts to improve community welfare carried out by Daegu Urban Development Corporation. In particular, it received high praise for contributing to the spread of a sharing culture by supporting vulnerable groups such as impoverished children, self-reliant youth, and elderly living alone in the region, as well as strengthening cooperation with the local community.
In this month, Daegu Urban Development Corporation donated 60 million KRW to the ‘Love House Repair Project’ aimed at improving the living environment of low-income vulnerable groups residing in old owner-occupied and rented houses. The corporation plans to continue various activities to promote the development and welfare of the local community.
