Korea National Oil Corporation and Korea Gas Corporation Conduct Collaborative Audit to Strengthen Expertise in Ethical Management
Inter-Agency Audit Collaboration
Promoting High-Quality Audit Activities
Korea National Oil Corporation conducted a 'collaborative audit' with Korea Gas Corporation in the field of legal affairs and ethical management internal audits from the 11th to the 15th.
This internal audit was carried out with support from specialized personnel from Korea Gas Corporation, based on the audit cooperation agreement signed by both organizations in December 2022 to exchange expertise and strengths in the audit field.
The internal auditor from Korea Gas Corporation who participated in this audit is an experienced auditor in external activity reporting, prevention of sexual misconduct, and workplace harassment. It is expected that through comparative review of related regulations and processing systems between the two organizations, practical assistance for work improvement will be provided.
Since his appointment in December last year, Park Gong-woo, Standing Auditor of KNOC, has been expanding professional auditor training to enhance audit quality and increasing exchanges with prominent public institutions. Following the joint audit cooperation agreement signed in July with 11 organizations including KOTRA to advance internal controls in overseas offices, in September, an agreement was signed with the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency to develop audit work in the safety field.
KNOC strives to strengthen audit quality by sharing the unique expertise of each public institution’s specialized work areas, involving audit experts from partner organizations in the audit process of relevant fields to produce tangible results. The collaborative audit with Korea Gas Corporation is part of these efforts.
