KoDATA, a Korean evaluation data company, announced on the 18th that its Hope Volunteer Group, composed of executives and employees, recently visited Sihanoukville, Cambodia, to carry out a social contribution project.
The volunteer group included a total of 26 executives and employees, with CEO Hong Du-seon and Kim Jang-yu, the chief deputy chairman of the labor union, serving as co-leaders. Since 2013, KoDATA has been conducting overseas social contribution projects targeting developing countries, and since last year, it has been working together with the NGO organization "Global Sharing Movement."
The volunteer group conducted activities at the "Life School" located in Sihanoukville Province, Cambodia, for 7 nights and 9 days from November 1 to 9. They established a computer room equipped with laptops, educational TVs, and an internet connection system, building an information and communication technology (ICT) education infrastructure to enhance students' digital capabilities.
Additionally, they provided global citizenship education to 5th-grade elementary students to broaden their perspectives on the global society. They also engaged in renovating outdated facilities and painting murals to create a pleasant learning environment both inside and outside the school. Environmental protection activities such as plogging (picking up trash while jogging) were also carried out near the school.
