Daejeon Office of Education to Provide Largest-Ever Happy Education Scholarships Next Year

View original imageThe Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education announced that it will provide the largest-ever support for the Daejeon Happy Education Scholarship Foundation scholarships next year.
On the 13th, the Office of Education held the '2024 2nd Board Meeting of the Daejeon Happy Education Scholarship Foundation' in the main building's 6th floor conference room and decided to increase next year's scholarship and international exchange support funds by 20% compared to this year, totaling 251.2 million won.
The Office of Education plans to provide 164.4 million won for scholarships for low-income and talented students, 46.8 million won for athletic excellence scholarships, and 40 million won for international exchange support, among others.
The Daejeon Happy Education Scholarship Foundation has secured 5.92 billion won in basic assets in about 15 years since its establishment in 2008 through active fundraising and securing of funds.
Seol Dongho, Superintendent of the Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education, said, "We have allocated the largest amount ever for next year's scholarships and international exchange support since the foundation was established," and added, "We will support students to grow into outstanding talents with future capabilities through more thorough financial management and fair selection of scholarship recipients."
