The main topics discussed were ▲ Progress of the Walkable Street Creation Project ▲ Urban Emptying Project (Gosan District) ▲ 2025 Garden Manager Operation Plan ▲ Sustainable Urban Forest Management Measures ▲ Report on the Selection of Barefoot Trail Sites for Gyeonggi-do Soil Scent ▲ Status of Illegal Outdoor Advertising Maintenance and Signboard Maintenance Plans.
Specifically, both short-term strategies such as integrated installation of signs using nearby utility poles, improvement of urban aesthetics through illegal outdoor advertising maintenance, creation of parks and garden-type green spaces using garden managers, and plans for creating barefoot trails along riversides, as well as mid- to long-term strategies such as the progress of citizen roads, Mangwol-ro, and Ganeung-dong walkable street creation projects for a pedestrian-friendly environment were discussed.
Mayor Kim Dong-geun said, "A walkable city ultimately aims to create an urban environment where everyone can live safely and comfortably," adding, "I hope that efforts will be made to build a sustainable Uijeongbu City that citizens can truly feel."
