Permanent Stage Established at Incheon Aetteul Plaza... Expansion of Open Spaces with Permit System Changed to Notification System
Incheon City announced on the 13th that starting from March next year, a permanent stage that is convenient for all citizens to use will be created at the 'Incheon Aetteul' plaza in front of City Hall, and it will be open 365 days a year.
The city plans to dismantle the existing rest deck and install substructures, stage decks, and a permanent stage suitable for events. During periods without events, the space will be developed for use as a citizen rest area and relaxation space.
In addition, to operate events efficiently, the city will identify event demands from related departments, institutions, and organizations, concentrating events in the first half of the year during April to May, and in the second half during September to October. The plan is to hold events intensively in spring and autumn, while providing conditions for citizens to enjoy leisure and small happiness during other periods.
Incheon Aetteul has established itself as a symbolic cultural space in Incheon where numerous events are held annually. However, repeated installation and dismantling for various event stages have raised issues of budget waste and environmental pollution caused by waste.
