Man in his 50s arrested on drug use charges... loses consciousness and dies in detention center
A man arrested on suspicion of drug use lost consciousness and collapsed inside a police station detention center, later dying.
On the 13th, the Dongdaemun Police Station in Seoul announced that a man in his 50s, identified as Mr. A, who was arrested on suspicion of drug use, died inside the detention center the previous day.
Mr. A lost consciousness inside the detention center around 3:30 PM the day before. The police immediately called an ambulance and administered emergency treatment, but he ultimately passed away.
Mr. A was arrested on the 11th at 5:26 PM on suspicion of using drugs at a lodging facility in Dongdaemun-gu. At that time, his health condition was reported to be normal.

A police official stated, "The detective tried to wake him for questioning, but when he did not get up, we called 119. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death, and it will be treated as a suspicious death."
