Dong-A University (President Lee Hae-woo) is holding the ‘2024 SW Innovation Week (INNOVATION WEEK)’ event from the 11th to the 15th at Engineering Building 5 on the Seunghak Campus.
Supported by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Institute for Information & Communications Technology Planning & Evaluation (IITP) through the ‘SW-Centered University Project,’ this event is co-hosted by Dong-A University and Busan City, and organized by the Ministry of Science and ICT and IITP. It is designed to showcase graduation projects and achievements of students from departments participating in the SW-Centered University program, as well as to provide understanding of AI and SW industry trends and employment information.
The event features 24 programs across six zones (Achievements, Competitions, Employment, Lectures, Promotion, Events), including the ‘Fair Day Graduation Exhibition,’ ‘DUGC Graphics Competition,’ ‘Employment Special Lectures and Consulting,’ ‘Industry-Academia Research & Development Project Exhibition,’ and ‘AI·SW Professional Lectures.’ Various side events such as photo booths, stamp tours, and SNS events are also prepared.
Through the presentation of graduation projects and awards for outstanding works by the Department of Computer and AI Engineering, the AI and SW practical capabilities of graduating students are evaluated. Additionally, development project demonstration competitions for current students help strengthen development skills and practical experience. The computer graphics coding competition assists students in applying graphics algorithms and programming skills in practice, enhancing creativity and problem-solving abilities.
A 2-day overnight hackathon is also held, fostering communication skills through focused project execution, team collaboration, and idea exchange. A graduate student open lab will be conducted to provide undergraduates with opportunities to experience research environments and projects.
