Yangsan City in Gyeongnam is actively working to promote international exchanges with Portugal and to publicize the ‘2026 Yangsan Year of Visit.’

View original imageAfter completing his visit to Spain on the 9th, Mayor Na Dong-yeon moved to Lisbon, Portugal, where he is carrying out visits to major Portuguese institutions.
This visit was planned not only to promote Yangsan City but also to enhance international exchanges in various fields such as tourism, culture, economy, and business.
Mayor Na’s first official schedule was a visit to the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Portugal on the 11th.
During the meeting with Ambassador Cho Young-moo to Portugal, the Yangsan City delegation reviewed the status of exchanges with Portugal since their last meeting in June of last year and shared visions for future cooperation and exchanges in various fields to build a closer relationship between the two countries. They also expressed positive responses regarding the continuous activation of exchanges between Yangsan City and Sintra City.
Following the embassy schedule, Mayor Na visited the KOTRA Lisbon Trade Center with Yangsan businesspeople to explore the possibilities of Yangsan companies entering the Portuguese market. At this meeting, they met with Trade Center Director Kim Yoon-hee, listened to explanations about the characteristics of the Portuguese market and business environment, and discussed ways for Yangsan companies to effectively enter the local market.

This visit to major Portuguese institutions is expected to be an important turning point for Yangsan City to establish its presence on the international stage and strengthen its relationship with Portugal.
