It also assists labor vulnerable groups, such as workers at small businesses, in easily understanding complex labor laws and asserting their rights.
The four services to be unveiled this time include ▲AI labor law knowledge search ▲interactive search for statutes, precedents, inquiries, and manuals ▲support for filing petitions ▲dialogue with documents. The AI labor law knowledge search is a chatbot-style service that provides customized answers. It is available to anyone on KakaoTalk. The other services can be tried through the related website. The petition filing support feature is characterized by allowing users to write detailed petitions by answering AI questions.
Park Bo-hyun, head of the Labor Inspector AI Support System Construction TF Team at the Ministry of Employment and Labor, said, "(The AI labor law knowledge search) has been trained to answer questions related to unemployment benefits and severance pay, which are of greatest interest to the public." He added, "We created the service based on KakaoTalk to provide labor law knowledge with good accessibility." He also explained that "various types of generative AI, not just ChatGPT, are used" for this purpose.
