Kim Dong-yeon Holds Meeting with Gyeonggi-do Christian Federation... "Worried About How to Overcome the Crisis"
Kim Dong-yeon, Governor of Gyeonggi Province, urged religious leaders to actively participate in overcoming the difficult situation facing South Korea.
On the 11th, Governor Kim held a meeting and communication session at Dodamso (the former governor's official residence) by inviting Oh Beom-yeol, President of the Gyeonggi Province Christian Council, and about 20 affiliated members.
In his greeting, Governor Kim said, "Things are chaotic in many ways right now. The political situation is unstable, the economy is struggling, and there is much concern about what might unfold after the U.S. presidential election," expressing his worries, "I am concerned about whether our government, politicians, and leaders can navigate this crisis well."

View original imageHe continued, "With issues such as North Korean leaflets, trash balloons, and North Korea's deployment of troops to Russia, tensions are rising, causing increasing anxiety in Gyeonggi Province, which borders North Korea," and added, "I believe this is a time when we must pay great attention to peace, the safety of our residents, the safety of South Korea, peace among compatriots, and world peace," urging cooperation from religious leaders.
In response, President Oh Beom-yeol said, "Despite the turmoil, Governor Kim Dong-yeon is loved by many people for his dedication to provincial administration," and expressed gratitude, "Thank you for arranging this luncheon meeting despite your busy schedule."
