The Gwangju City Integrated Bio-Gasification Facility Installation Project is a project with a total budget exceeding 50 billion KRW, which requires a preliminary feasibility study under the National Finance Act. However, the city applied for an exemption from the preliminary feasibility study to the Ministry of Strategy and Finance in August to expedite the project.
Based on a prior feasibility review of the project plan, the city presented a detailed project plan and emphasized the urgency of the project. As a result of the deliberation by the Ministry of Strategy and Finance’s Financial Project Evaluation Committee, the exemption from the preliminary feasibility study for the ‘Gwangju City Integrated Bio-Gasification Facility Installation Project’ was finally approved.
With this exemption decision, Gwangju City’s promotion of the comprehensive waste treatment facility installation project, a large-scale resource circulation complex including the integrated bio-gasification facility, will gain further momentum.
