First, to fundamentally eliminate the root cause of water meter freezing, insulation materials for water meters will be distributed free of charge to households vulnerable to freezing.
In addition, promotional materials titled "Winter Water Pipe and Water Meter Management Guidelines" will be distributed to each district office and neighborhood administrative welfare center to help citizens easily understand how to manage water meters.
They plan to establish an emergency repair cooperation system with related organizations such as water supply contractors and fire stations to respond promptly in case of emergencies such as water leaks or water meter damage.
Furthermore, inspections will be conducted on △cut areas of reservoirs △remote control panel devices △facility operation status △safety management status, and immediate action will be taken if repairs are necessary.
Yoon Geon-sang, Director of the Water and Sewage Business Office, emphasized, "A lot of attention and effort from employees is needed to minimize inconvenience in water use caused by freezing during the winter."
