Operating 100 Mental Health Promotion Schools for Healing and Recovery of At-Risk Students
The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education (Superintendent Lim Tae-hee) held a briefing session on the 7th for the ‘Mental Health Promotion Schools’ and emphasized tailored healing and recovery for students in emotional crisis.

View original imageThe Office of Education operates 100 ‘Mental Health Promotion Schools’ to support the mental health of students facing psychological and emotional crises and to strengthen the Wee Project.
The program is operated targeting 65 schools that applied for the pilot education support office for the enhancement and reorganization of the Wee Project functions, 26 schools in areas with multiple crisis incidents, and 9 schools with high academic stress.
At the Mental Health Promotion Schools, the following are implemented to restore the mental health of students in crisis: ▲pilot operation of digital mental health services ▲Easy (EASY) screening test ▲operation of the school crisis management committee ▲counseling and treatment cost support for students in crisis ▲student-tailored healing, growth, and recovery programs ▲welfare support for students in crisis.
During the briefing session, 100 persons in charge of Mental Health Promotion Schools were provided with ▲an explanation of the Mental Health Promotion Schools ▲experience with digital mental health services ▲guidance on understanding mental illnesses and how to apply them in schools.
