Number of Listed Companies in Daejeon Increases to 62... Tomocube Listed
Ranked third after Incheon and Busan among the six major metropolitan cities
The city of Daejeon announced that Tomocube Co., Ltd., a company specializing in the manufacturing and sales of 3D microscope optical devices and medical equipment, has been listed on KOSDAQ. With this, the total number of Daejeon-based companies listed on the Korea Exchange has increased to 62.
This is the third highest among the six major metropolitan cities, following Incheon (94 companies) and Busan (82 companies). In terms of regional market capitalization, Daejeon ranks second among the six cities with 57 trillion won, following Incheon.
Since the launch of the 8th popularly elected administration, the number of listed companies has reached 14, with 8 companies newly listed this year, continuing the upward trend.
Lee Jangwoo, Mayor of Daejeon, stated, "The recent increase in the number of listed companies in Daejeon demonstrates that the city's economic structure is being completely transformed into that of a world-class economic city," adding, "We will continue to provide full support so that promising local companies with creative technological capabilities can nurture their dreams, secure technological competitiveness, and grow in Daejeon."
