The E&M Signs LOI with Major Hollywood Companies Including Cinelease, Jim Henson, and Stargate

View original imageTHE E&M announced on the 6th that it has signed Letters of Intent (LOI) for business participation regarding the use of the Cheongna Video and Culture Complex with global studios and production companies.
Recently, representatives from THE E&M visited Hollywood, USA, at the invitation of Amazon MGM Studios.
The companies that submitted Letters of Intent for business participation include ▲Cinelease ▲The Jim Henson Company ▲Stargate Studios.
The company stated, “We expect this to mark an important turning point in introducing new technologies and production methods to the Korean content production environment.”
THE E&M plans to strengthen domestic content production competitiveness and establish a global-level studio environment within the Cheongna Video and Culture Complex.
Through this agreement, THE E&M will receive a stable supply of high-quality equipment necessary for studio operations from Cinelease.
Cinelease is the largest film equipment rental company in the United States. It provides various customized equipment solutions and supports cutting-edge equipment needed for on-site production. Additionally, it directly operates studios in 12 regions including California, Georgia, and New York. THE E&M intends to cooperate with Cinelease to secure Hollywood-level advanced equipment stably in Korea, significantly improving the domestic production environment.
The Jim Henson Company is a Hollywood studio known for its unique animation and special effects. Under this agreement, THE E&M plans to enhance its high-quality content production capabilities by utilizing Jim Henson’s VFX (visual effects) technology and resources.
Stargate Studios is a global company operating branches in various regions worldwide, providing excellent VFX services. It has proven its technical skills in several popular works such as the drama “The Walking Dead.” THE E&M will collaborate with Stargate Studios to participate in various post-production and special effects projects within Korea.
Based on the Letters of Intent signed during this LA business trip, THE E&M plans to consider signing an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) for practical cooperation in the future.
