Ulju-gun to Host 'Ulju Food Culture Festival' on the 9th This Year
The '2024 Ulju Food Culture Festival,' where visitors can enjoy the rich flavors and diverse experiences of Ulju, will kick off on the 9th at Beomseo Sports Park in Ulju-gun.
Hosted and organized by the Ulju Branch of the Ulsan Metropolitan City Chapter of the Korea Foodservice Industry Association, this festival offers an opportunity to experience over 20 representative dishes of Ulju all in one place under the slogan "Ulju Tastes Great."
Local food manufacturing and processing companies will also participate in the event to exhibit and sell their products, and there will be displays and tasting corners featuring works from the Korea Rice Cake Food Processing Association and the Korea Confectionery Association.
The main event of the festival, the Grand Feast of One Cow, allows visitors to savor the deep flavors of high-quality Ulju Hanwoo beef by different cuts, with special menus such as Hanwoo ramen and beef soup rice. Additionally, a special tasting of traditional Ulju local liquors will be held.
Furthermore, aiming to be an eco-friendly festival, all tasting corners will use reusable containers to emphasize environmental protection.
Side events include various experiential activities such as nail art, life photo shoots, and a flea market, along with an information booth promoting safe eating habits and low-carbon green living practices.
The Ulsan Nonghyup will conduct a breakfast campaign to promote the consumption of domestic rice and provide rice as prizes, adding even more fun to the festival.
