Wonju Mayor Won Gang-su of Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province visited the Wonju factory of KGC Ginseng Corporation, a leading local export company designated as the second 'Green Company' in Wonju on the 30th, on the 5th. He held a meeting with factory manager Jo Chan-gi and other executives and employees. The Green Company designation is given under the Environmental Technology and Environmental Industry Support Act, and the Wonju factory of KGC Ginseng Corporation is the 97th Green Company nationwide.

KGC Ginseng Corporation produces and exports health functional foods related to ginseng, and the Wonju factory mainly produces pouch products related to red ginseng.
Mayor Won said, “Through this meeting and the tour of the production facilities, I personally felt the reason why KGC Ginseng Corporation and the CheongKwanJang brand are loved by citizens,” adding, “I appreciate your active participation in sharing events such as supporting vulnerable groups in the local community and kimchi-making volunteer work to give back the love you have received.”
