Uijeongbu City Opens Applications for Gyeonggi Youth Basic Income Program
Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) announced on the 5th that it will start accepting applications for the ‘Gyeonggi Youth Basic Income Project,’ which had been suspended due to financial difficulties, from the 4th quarter of this year.

View original imageYouth in Uijeongbu can apply for the Youth Basic Income by using the online Jobaba system until the 29th.
The payment format remains the same as before, using Uijeongbu City local currency, with up to 1,000,000 KRW per person paid in installments of 250,000 KRW per quarter, scheduled to be paid on December 20.
Eligible applicants are those born between October 2, 1999, and October 1, 2000. Applications can be made retroactively for support funds not received during the 1st to 3rd quarters. In particular, those born between October 2, 1999, and January 1, 2000, must apply retroactively in this last eligible quarter to receive the full 1,000,000 KRW.
For those born between January 2, 1999, and October 1, 1999, whose application period has already ended, no separate applications will be accepted; payments will be made automatically if there is an application history from 2023.
Details regarding this Youth Basic Income Project are currently under budget review by Gyeonggi Province and the city, and may change depending on the review results.
