Gwangju City Opens Applications for 2025 Organic Fertilizer Support Project
Gwangju City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 5th that it will accept applications for the '2025 Organic Fertilizer Support Project' from the 11th of this month until December 10th.

View original imageApplications can be submitted at the administrative welfare centers of Eup, Myeon, and Opo 1-dong in the farmland area, and at the Agricultural Policy Division for the dong area.
The support targets farmers who have registered their agricultural management information and own farmland in Gwangju City. Three types of organic fertilizers (mixed organic fertilizer cake, mixed organic fertilizer, organic compound fertilizer) and two types of matured organic fertilizers (compost, livestock manure compost) will be supported with fixed amounts according to their grades. However, before applying for the project, all cultivated farmland must be registered in the agricultural management entity without omission.
Through the 2024 Organic Fertilizer Support Project, the city supplied a total of 4624 farms and 972 hectares/441,961 bags within the jurisdiction.

A city official stated, “We expect increased crop yields and higher income for our farmers by actively applying high-quality organic fertilizers to improve soil fertility,” adding, “We will continue to provide support for agricultural management stability and the development of local agriculture.”
