Professor Jung Woo-sung of POSTECH Appointed as Chairman of the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity
The Ministry of Science and ICT announced on the 4th that it will appoint Professor Jeong Woo-sung of Pohang University of Science and Technology as the new chairman of the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity, effective from the 5th. Chairman Jeong Woo-sung's term is three years from the date of appointment.
Chairman Jeong Woo-sung is currently a professor in the Department of Industrial and Management Engineering and the Department of Physics at Pohang University of Science and Technology, and has previously served as Secretary-General of the Asia Pacific Center for Theoretical Physics (APCTP).

The Ministry of Science and ICT expects that Chairman Jeong will strengthen the role of the Foundation by contributing to the promotion of science and technology culture and the nurturing of creative talents through leadership based on his field expertise in science and technology.
