National Police Agency Signs Agreement to Support 'Pedal Misapplication Prevention Devices' for Elderly Drivers
Collaboration between the Non-Life Insurance Social Contribution Council and Korea Transportation Safety Authority
On the 5th, the National Police Agency announced that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Non-Life Insurance Social Contribution Council and the Korea Transportation Safety Authority to support the installation of ‘pedal misapplication prevention devices’ for the safe driving of elderly drivers.
Through this agreement, ▲ the National Police Agency will select pilot operation areas for the installation of advanced safety devices and propose future policy alternatives ▲ the Non-Life Insurance Social Contribution Council will provide budget support for the installation of advanced safety devices ▲ the Korea Transportation Safety Authority will be responsible for recruiting participants for the project and analyzing the effectiveness of the support program.
