Uijeongbu City to Conduct '2024 Household and Housing Basic Survey' Starting from the 8th
Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) announced on the 4th that it will conduct the "2024 Basic Household and Housing Survey," which verifies residence and household information on-site for all households in the area, from the 8th to the 27th.
The Basic Household and Housing Survey is a nationally approved statistic conducted every five years in cooperation between the Statistics Korea and the city. It will be used to improve the quality of basic data for setting survey districts for next year's "Population and Housing Census" and "Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Census," as well as for creating sampling frames for various surveys.
The survey targets approximately 119,000 households in the area as of 0:00 on November 1, 2024, and covers 14 items including address, type of residence, and form of housing facilities. The survey will be conducted through on-site verification using tablet PCs, some household interviews, and telephone consultations via a call center.

Ryu Yun-mi, Director of the Smart City Division, said, "Since the data collected through this survey will be used to verify the basic information of national statistics, we ask for active cooperation and participation when surveyors visit households." She added, "The collected data will be used only for statistical purposes in accordance with Article 33 of the Statistics Act and will be strictly confidential, so please participate in the survey with confidence."
