Ulsan City Attracts 100 Billion KRW Investment for Polyol Production Facility
Investment Agreement Signed Between Ulsan City and SK PU Core on the 4th
On the 4th at 11 a.m., Ulsan City will sign an investment agreement for the establishment of a new polyol production facility and raw material and product tank farm at the mayor’s office on the 7th floor of the City Hall main building, attended by Ulsan Mayor Kim Doo-gyeom and SK PU Core CEO Kwon Jae-hyun.
Polyol is a colorless and transparent liquid and an important raw material for polyurethane foam used in mattresses, car seats, dashboards, insulation materials, adhesives, and coatings.
According to the agreement, SK PU Core will invest approximately 100 billion KRW in the establishment of polyol production facilities, raw materials, and product tank farms.
The new plant will be built on a 10,000㎡ site on Yongjam-ro in Nam-gu, with completion targeted for 2026.
In addition, regarding the new plant establishment, SK PU Core and Ulsan City have agreed to cooperate in creating jobs and revitalizing the local economy by prioritizing the hiring of local residents.
Ulsan City also promised to continuously cooperate with the company for the successful promotion and stable settlement of this new investment project and to provide active administrative support such as prompt permits and approvals.
SK PU Core CEO Kwon Jae-hyun said, “We deeply appreciate Ulsan City’s generous support for this new investment,” adding, “We will further expand cooperation with the local community, seek various opportunities for mutual growth, and practice the value of coexistence.”
