Gangbuk-gu, Public-Private-Police Joint Night Patrols for Crime Prevention

View original imageGangbuk-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Soon-hee) conducts joint night patrols involving civilians, government, and police at least once a month. These patrols are carried out together with the Gangbuk Police Station and the Neighborhood Watch to strengthen urban safety at night, preventing residents' inconveniences and checking safety conditions through the patrols.
During the patrol held from 8 p.m. on the 29th of last month, special attention was given to Uicheon Stream, nearby residential areas, and parks, where there are concerns about crime and safety accidents during the autumn outing season, with enhanced safety inspections.
More than 30 members of the joint patrol team, including Mayor Lee Soon-hee of Gangbuk-gu, participated in the patrol that day. The main inspection items included ▲checking the lighting status of security lights, street lamps, pedestrian crossing floor signals, and logo projectors ▲checking the operation of security CCTV and emergency bells ▲illegal nighttime burning and unauthorized garbage dumping ▲illegal parking and stopping ▲inspection of road damage and sunken pavement blocks ▲inspection of areas prone to juvenile delinquency, among others.
