Korea Rotary "100,000 Members Target for 100th Anniversary in 2027"
Korea Rotary announced on the 1st that it will promote various campaigns to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of Korea Rotary in 2027.
Korea Rotary aims to reach 100,000 members by 2027 and will carry out ▲a centennial commemorative contest ▲a Rotary brand campaign ▲the launch of a centennial commemorative website, among other initiatives. As the first step, a centennial commemorative volunteer project idea contest will be held starting from the 1st. Anyone can participate, including individuals, teams, non-profit organizations, schools, and companies. Participants can download the application form from the centennial commemorative website and submit their ideas via email by December 10.
Judging will be based on ▲creativity ▲feasibility ▲social impact ▲participation level, and the results will be announced on December 26. The grand prize (1 team) will receive 5 million KRW, the excellence award (1 team) and encouragement awards (2 teams) will receive 3 million KRW and 1 million KRW respectively, and all winning teams will also be awarded certificates. The awards ceremony is scheduled to be held in January 2025.

Rotary is an international service organization with over 1.4 million members worldwide, with more than 46,000 Rotary clubs active in over 200 countries. In Korea, since the first Rotary club was founded in Gyeongseong in 1927, it has grown into a service organization with 19 districts, about 1,600 clubs, and over 60,000 members.
