Gwangju City Holds 'Opo You~ Let's All Gather' Health Club Presentation
Gwangju City held the "Opo You~ Let's All Gather" health club presentation on the 30th at the Opo 1-dong Administrative Welfare Center as part of a resident-led village community building project.
Gwangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Bang Se-hwan) announced on the 31st that it held the ‘Opo You~ Let's All Gather’ health club presentation on the 30th at the Opo 1-dong Administrative Welfare Center as part of a resident-led village community building project.
This event was part of a health promotion project centered on small living areas, where local residents themselves address health issues and practice healthy living. Nine health clubs from the Opo area showcased impressive performances and activity videos including band exercises, line dance, seoljanggu (Korean traditional drum), rehabilitation dance, and Tabata exercises.
In particular, the event was enriched by congratulatory performances from the Sunakru Broadcast Dance of the Opo 1-dong Resident Autonomy Center, ukulele, and the Yangbeol Ssangyong Senior Choir.
A member of one of the clubs who participated in the event said, “Through club activities, I learned what it means to create health on my own,” and added, “Preparing for the club presentation was an opportunity to reflect on our health and foster harmony among members.”
