Gongju City Forms Industrial Complex Council... Seeking Ways to Enhance Competitiveness
Gongju City in Chungnam announced on the 31st that it has formed an association of agricultural and industrial complexes for the first time in Chungnam. The inaugural chairman of the association is Jang Jibok, the president of a tenant company in the Jeongan Agricultural and Industrial Complex.
At the meeting held on this day, the city listened to the difficulties faced by tenant companies, such as issues arising from the aging of the complex and difficulties in securing labor.
In addition, they discussed policy alternatives to strengthen the competitiveness of the complexes, including measures to respond to population decline and ways to revitalize the agricultural and industrial complexes.
A city official stated, "We will create an environment where local companies can operate actively in various fields, innovate regulations, and establish measures for the agricultural and industrial complexes and the region to grow together."
