Development of AI-Based Personalized Disaster Evacuation Application for Users
The AllLive team from Dong-Eui University’s Applied Software Engineering major (2nd-year students Ho-Jun Lee, Jae-Rok Jeong, Ki-Taek Lee, and 4th-year students Cheong-Hae Kim, Dae-Gyu Kim) was awarded the Excellence Prize at the “12th K-Hackathon 2024” held on October 17 at the aT Center in Seoul, receiving the Korean Contents Association President’s Award and a prize of 1 million KRW.

View original imageHosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and organized by the National IT Industry Promotion Agency and the Software Education Innovation Center, the AllLive team developed a disaster evacuation application called “AllLife Disaster Shelter.” This app features shelter location guidance through GPS and AR, as well as user-customized information provided by generative AI. Their project was recognized with the Excellence Prize in the Metaverse Platform Utilization Solutions category.
The AllLive team stated, “We invested a lot of time preparing materials to clearly define the problem, and as a result, thorough preparation led to good outcomes.” They added, “We will further develop this project technically to create software that can help many people.”

The K-Hackathon is the largest hackathon competition in Korea, conducted in two categories: Application Solutions and Metaverse Platform Utilization Solutions, with the theme of “free topics reflecting nationwide social and public issues and regional characteristics.” Two teams in each category received the Minister of Science and ICT Award and a prize of 3 million KRW, with a total prize pool of 17 million KRW awarded.
