HS Hyosung Advanced Materials Achieves Top 1% 'Platinum Medal' in Global ESG Evaluation
HS Hyosung Advanced Materials announced on the 29th that it has received the highest rating, the 'Platinum Medal,' in the 2024 sustainability assessment conducted by EcoVadis, a global supply chain ESG evaluation organization.
HS Hyosung Advanced Materials scored 83 points, placing it in the top 1% among all global companies participating in the EcoVadis assessment. This is the highest score the company has achieved since it began participating in the EcoVadis evaluation. Previously, HS Hyosung Advanced Materials earned the 'Gold Medal' for three consecutive years starting in 2021, and notably, despite the evaluation system being revised and the rating criteria strengthened this year, it succeeded in obtaining the 'Platinum Medal.'
This achievement is the result of HS Hyosung Advanced Materials establishing an emission management system across all business sites, setting Science-based Targets (SBT), reorganizing supply chain management policies, and building a supply chain due diligence system, which led to improved evaluations in all areas compared to the previous year.
EcoVadis, based in France, is a leading global supply chain ESG evaluation organization that assesses and certifies companies' ESG policies. It evaluates over 130,000 companies across more than 180 countries on four criteria: environment, labor and human rights, ethics and fair trade, and supply chain management, awarding ratings such as Platinum (top 1%), Gold (top 3%), Silver (top 15%), and Bronze (top 35%).
