Attended by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups to Hear On-site Voices
Focused Discussion on Strengthening Marketing and Welfare Services
The Seoul Regional Headquarters of the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business announced on the 29th that it held the "2024 2nd Seoul Yellow Umbrella Customer Rights Protection Committee."
On this day, the committee was attended by nine members, including co-chairmen Yoon Hyun-deok, Honorary Professor at Soongsil University, Oh Chang-won, CEO of Changwon ENG, as well as experts from various fields and Yellow Umbrella subscribers. Additionally, Hwang Young-ho, Head of the Small Business COVID-19 Recovery Support Group from the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, which decides Yellow Umbrella policies, joined to listen to voices from the field.
The main agenda was marketing and welfare service enhancement plans to transform the quantitative growth of the Yellow Umbrella Mutual Aid, which has 1.76 million subscribers and 27 trillion won in contributions, into qualitative growth. To expand subscriptions among MZ generation small businesses and small merchants, they shared opinions on various promotional strategies such as influencers, YouTube, and Shorts, as well as strengthening support for youth startups. They also discussed the need to activate education and workshops targeting local communities to improve customers' on-site perception of Yellow Umbrella welfare services. Policy proposals were made to reflect the times by preparing policy support measures such as interest reductions for ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) activities including employment expansion and social contribution.
