Samsung Electronics to Host 'Samsung Developer Conference Korea 2024' Next Month
Introduction to Major SW Research Achievements and Communication with Domestic Developers
Samsung Electronics announced on the 29th that it will hold the 'Samsung Developer Conference Korea 2024 (SDC24 Korea)' online on the 21st of next month.
Marking its 11th anniversary this year, the event has been held annually in various formats since 2014 to emphasize the importance of software by Samsung Electronics.
SDC24 Korea will cover a wide range of topics, starting with a welcome speech by Jeon Kyung-hoon, CTO of Samsung Electronics DX Division and Head of Samsung Research, including ▲generative AI ▲software platforms ▲IoT ▲healthcare ▲communications ▲data, as well as the open-source development culture embedded in various software research fields integrated into products.

View original imageThe keynote will introduce ▲Samsung Electronics’ research and development achievements in generative AI technology (Lee Ju-hyung, Vice President of Samsung Research, Samsung Electronics; Ko Hyun-mok, Executive Director) ▲improvements in software and device platform user experience at Samsung Electronics (Jung Jae-yeon, Vice President of Device Platform Center, Samsung Electronics; Kwon Ho-beom, Executive Director of Samsung Research).
The technical sessions will include 29 sessions sharing development experiences in various fields such as ▲development and device integration of on-device generative AI models ▲the future of healthcare and Samsung Health strategy ▲cases applying the Matter open source to various SmartThings platforms.

Jung Jin-min, Vice President and Head of the Software Innovation Center at Samsung Research, Samsung Electronics, said, "This year at SDC24 Korea, we have increased the proportion of presentations by Samsung Electronics developers compared to last year to disclose more of Samsung’s research and development activities. We will continue to strengthen the software ecosystem through meaningful exchanges with numerous developers."
