Yangju City Corporation Conducts 'Deepfake and Personal Information Protection Training' for All Former and Current Employees
Gyeonggi Yangju Urban Corporation (President Lee Heung-gyu) announced on the 28th that it conducted an education session on the 24th for all employees to prevent and respond to digital sex crimes (deepfakes) and to strengthen accountability for personal information protection.
This training, conducted through the specialized company "Digital Care," focused on recognizing the seriousness of new digital risks arising from recent technological advancements such as deepfake sex crimes, which have become a social issue, and on strengthening the responsibility of information managers to prevent privacy violations such as misuse and abuse of personal information.
The participating employees learned about the definition of personal information and personal information infringement, the emergence of deepfakes and deepfake damage in the workplace, and how to respond to deepfakes. Through the training, they gained an understanding of the nature of crimes caused by non-consensual content creation and ways to protect personal information from digital threats.
